ABOUT US
I’m Katriese, the photographer behind Through the Wild - the person passionate about creating and capturing moments of genuine connection and authentic love. I was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia and have been fortunate to spend time in Melbourne, the Coffs Coast and Brisbane. I know New South Wales and Queensland as much as I know the West, and take up this part of the world as my second home for photographing weddings and incredible moments of love.

I can only do this by developing a true connection with my clients and getting to know you before we even start with photography. It’s unbelievably common to feel nervous and shy about being photographed, and my job is to make you forget the camera is there. I promise you, you will be surprised with how at ease you feel. My clients choose to work with me because of my natural approach - not posed, and not staged. Photographs that express the real you.

I have an intimate knowledge of the best locations across Perth and other parts of the country. Whether you’re seeking a hidden gem amongst rolling hills, or a chic city interior, I can guide you to the perfect spot.
